Orio al Serio International Airport (BGY) is better known by the name of the city it is located in – Bergamo. It is the second largest airport serving Milan after Malpensa. More than 10 million people fly here every year. Many tourists travel to Como, Desenzano del Garda, Peschiera del Garda, Genoa, and the ski resort of Livigno.
How to get from Bergamo Airport to the city or from the center to the airport
Orio al Serio Air Port is about 5 kilometers from Bergamo and 45 kilometers from Milan. Getting there will help:
- Terravision, Autostradale and Orioshuttle buses, which run from the airport to Milan Central Station from approximately 04:00 to 00:45 every 20-30 minutes. ATB buses run to Bergamo railway station from 05:17 to 00:31. The interval is 20 minutes during the day and 60 minutes after 21:00. The stop is at the terminal exit and tickets can be bought at the airport ticket office or from the driver
- Train to Milan, departing from Bergamo Central Station every 10-40 minutes from 04:53 to 23:00. Tickets are available at the station ticket office
- Taxi, which can be taken on the spot or booked via smartphone app
- Transfer booked in advance online.
